Welcome!
Lori Chapleskie Alfonse , DO

Dr. Lori
Chapleskie Alfonse, a fellowship-trained breast surgeon,
focuses her practice on the diagnosis and treatment of benign
and malignant breast disease. Her achievements and credentials
do not capture the effervescence and concern she demonstrates to
her patients, colleagues, and friends. It is her belief that
pairing holistic therapies with state-of-the-art, leading-edge
technology can lead to better outcomes—even in people with
life-threatening disease, such as breast cancer.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from The
Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Lori attended The
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she
participated in research projects focused on oncology medicines
and new treatment options for autoimmune diseases such as Lupus
and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Having completed many of her medical
school externships at Mercy Suburban Hospital, she pursued her
Traditional Rotating Internship and Residency in General Surgery
here – always knowing she wanted to care for the patients of a
community hospital setting.
This energetic and colorful physician is an avid patient
advocate and educator. She has participated in various
community health fairs and wellness expo’s and has provided
lectures to the community sponsored by the Susan G. Komen
Foundation and Keystone Health Plan East. She serves as the
physician liason for the hospital’s Committee on Cancer as well
as the Medical Director of the Breast Center at MSH.
A
native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, where her family still lives,
Dr. Lori resides in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, with her
husband John. Dr. Lori credits her accomplishments to the
support of her family and friends as well as the strength and
humor of her patients.
