Kate Marcolina – ‘The Boss’
(also known as our Office Manager)
Kate Marcolina, the Office
Manager at ELLE Center for Breast Health, was born and raised in
the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia until the age of six.
Kate, her brother Louie, and parents then moved to the
Collegeville area where she attended Bishop Kenrick High School
and Gwynedd Mercy College of Nursing.
Kate has been a Registered Nurse
for 14 years. She began her nursing career at Eagleville
Hospital in the Drug and Detoxification Unit. She then changed
her full-time focus to Family Practice, while maintaining her
part time position at Eagleville Hospital, where she spent 10
very fulfilling years.
The Medical-Surgical 4th
floor Unit at Mercy Suburban Hospital has been Kate’s home for
the past eight years, until her calling moved her to the ELLE
Center for Breast Health in August of this year. Kate and Dr.
Lori have known each other since Dr. Lori was a medical
student. They have long shared the vision of creating a warm,
compassionate haven in which to provide comprehensive and
state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant
breast disease.
Kate enjoys reading, music,
traveling and cooking. She has been on 3 cruises, loves to
spend time in the Outer Banks, NC and hopes to continue
traveling in the future. And last, but certainly not least,
Kate is an avid cat lover and is the proud ‘Mamma’ of
Jessie-cat, age 14 and Leo-badkitty, age 2.
Kate is a happy, fun-loving,
upbeat person who is extremely conscientious and can always be
counted on to fulfill any task requested of her.
Kathy McNally, the first
friendly face you’ll meet here at ELLE (also known as our Office
Receptionist)
Kathy was born in upstate New
York and moved to Philadelphia, PA with her family when she was
10 years old. Kathy is the mother of 2 children and 3
grandchildren; she chose the career of ‘stay at home mom’ until
her children went to elementary school.
Kathy began her career life at
The Norwood Fontbonne Academy in the Chestnut Hill Section of
Philadelphia. She enjoyed every minute of her eight years
assisting in the Montessori Program at the Academy.
Switching career gears, Kathy
secured a position at Chesheim Dental Office, where she worked
for 18 years.
Kathy has now joined us at the
ELLE Center for Breast Health. She was once a patient of Dr.
Lori’s and has known and respected her for over 4 years and is
extremely excited to now be part of her team. Kathy is looking
forward to working side by side with Dr. Lori, caring for her
patients and supporting them in whatever ways necessary.
Kathy is a fun
loving, generous person who loves to laugh and make other people
happy.
